Keri Sutter
Executive Director
Keri Sutter, dancer and singer. Keri graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico with a major in dance and a minor in religious studies. She has directed Surgite since 1985, and was the director of the dance program at the Youth Activity Center at Kirtland Air Force Base for 8 years. She began studying voice with Jeanne Grealish in 1990 and then with Jane Snow until her death in 2013. She currently studies with Jackie Zander-Wall. She studied dance at La Mesa Dance Academy, and continues to study ballet at Ballet Repertory Theatre, both in Albuquerque.
Keri was on the faculty of the Presbyterian Association of Musicians Conference (PAM West) in Pasadena, CA in July, 2006. She taught workshops on liturgics (how and why people worship) and liturgical dance. She was the dance clinician in 2017 at Mo-Ranch, TX for the Presbyterian Association of Musicians Conference (Mo-PAM) and for a Calvin Worship Renewal Grant in Sterling, IL in 2012. She presented workshops at the conference of the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators in Albuquerque in 2011 and presented a workshop on movement during the Toastmasters International convention in Phoenix, AZ in August, 2007.
